Our growth is fast - and accelerating. More and more people choose to switch to a plant-based diet for the sake of their health and the planet. That’s why we are looking for an Allergen management & Food safety Manager.

The mission of the role is to be the allergen specialist for Oatly and to be a part of establish Oatly food safety policies, processes, methods and tools to be in compliance with internal and external quality and food safety standards, laws, and regulations.

You'll be working closely with our global quality & food safety team, taking on important topics in your area including lab processes, hygienic conditions, deviations and quality assurance.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

In this role you lead the quality and food safety strategies, ensuring compliance to legal and BRC requirements. What's more you:

Be the allergen specialist for Oatly

  • Be a part of establish Oatly food safety policies, processes, methods and tools to be in compliance with internal and external quality and food safety standards, laws, and regulations
  • Provide direct support to markets and produdtion sites to improve quality maturity and secure food safety and compliance
  • Establishing processes and procedures to reduce defects with a zero defect mindset
  • Establish and spread competence in allergen management, make it well known in the company
  • Develop, implement and maintain processes, documented policies, standards and laboratory methods related to allergens
  • Lead and participate in food safety risk assessment activities within product, innovation & process development
  • Support current production sites, markets, sourcing and innovation projects withinfood safety and allergens.
  • Preparation and execution of Quality & Food Safety trainings (Classroom, web based and e-learnings)

WHO ARE YOU?

To be successful in this role you will have gained experience within the food industry. You have been responsible for quality issues and know HACCP and BRC quality standards like the back of your hand. You feel comfortable in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment and enjoy taking responsibility.

In addition, our ideal candidate brings the following assets:

  • B.S./MSc educational level in engineering (microbiology, science, toxicology)
  • Communication skills both verbally and in written: ensuring business’ needed understanding of allergens and it´s etiology, making complex topic easy to understand for the whole organisation from sourcing of raw materials to the shelf at the stores (through the whole supply chain)
  • Team-player, collaborative and supportive approach in all levels (from operators to management)
  • Improvement driven, sharing expertise, listening for clues
