Hello potential future Oatly employee. Here are the things we'd like to hire you to do:
- Operating manufacturing equipment for production of oatbase, including daily maintenance and problem solving
- Perform basic laboratory testing pH, viscosity, total solids and titration
- Serve as subject matter expert in process capabilities and process flows
- Execute general training requirements and mentor junior operators, to include certifying junior operators in Oatbase process
- Comply with GMPs, PPE, sanitation procedures, general housekeeping and food safety and food defense practices and procedures
- Utilize process data, trend analysis and training to monitor, troubleshoot and respond to process conditions to optimize the Plant operations
- Collect and test samples on different stages of the process and act based on the results when required
- Models and champions safe work practices for all operators (wears PPE, proactively identifies and escalates ideas to support safe working practices
- Coordinates with maintenance during major equipment repairs to ensure proper operations capabilities are maintained
- Participate in Lean/process improvement initiatives (e.g., updates Gemba boards, root cause analysis and follow up)
- Maintain a clean facility and follow the sanitation schedule
- Complete inventory traceability in Dynamics 365
- Create work orders for equipment and follow up to ensure completion of such
- Review and approve daily operations documents
- Collaborate and coordinate with R&D, engineering and other functional departments
- Assist with implementation and operation of new CMMS system
- Work within warehouse and logistics when not supporting oat base production (receive goods and load product in bulk-trucks)
- Other duties as assigned

- Must be 18 years or older with the ability to read, write and speak English specific to work instructions including but not limited to safety purposes
- High school, GED, or equivalent diploma required

- +2 years previous food manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of statistical calculations and applications
- Intermediate HACCP Knowledge
- General knowledge of Dynamics 365
- Skilled use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), Sharepoint, ERP
- Excellent organization skills and abilities to make decisions on quality issues
- Excellent communications skills and ability to establish strong working relationships at various levels of the organization
- Ability to climb several flights of stairs and ladders
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force at times and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body
- Ability to work in cold and hot environments (approximately 38F-80F degrees)
- Ability to be mobile in accomplishing tasks and or moving from one worksite (up to 1-mile range) to another this could include but not be limited to in-plant departments, (Shipping- Receiving, Production, etc.) and/or to Oatly’s 3rd party warehouse
- Ability to repeat motions that may include use of the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and standing or sitting for prolonged periods (average 8-12 hours)
