We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join the supply chain team in support of overall plant operations. The Procurement Specialist role will handle a multitude of recurring tasks that are critical to inventory management, invoice processing, internal item master data integrity and cross functional liaison work. This key role will also be supporting current Procurement Category Manager activities focusing on long term strategic activities. This role is considered a building block role to become a Procurement Category Manager within Nom Nom.
To successfully execute their job, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing all steps within the purchase order process involving inventory items. In addition, working closely with the Quality Food Safety team to ensure all proper SOPs and documentation are in place. Other key cross functional interactions include, Finance, Research & Development, Logistics, Inventory Management and others as required.
What are we looking for?
Education and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or other related field of study (will consider work experiences as an offset)
Knowledge/Experience
- Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and NetSuite
- 1 to 3 years of experience in supply chain/procurement activities with preferred experiences in food or food related industries
- Experience in interacting with outside vendors and or agencies.
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices
- Proven experience working cross-functionally to support various team initiatives.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to plan, organize, and problem-solve.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

What will be your key responsibilities?
- Issue, confirm and track all product related and packaging materials purchase orders within NetSuite (ERP) program as well as other database locations.
- Working directly with the QFS team in supplier maintenance of documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with logistics functions in keeping inbound orders accurate.
- Closely work with Procurement Category Managers related to inventory positions, forecast levels and reporting out critical data on department and company metrics.
- Manage invoice troubleshooting process with Finance and Procurement Category Manager to ensure accurate posting of payables.
- Project support to ongoing projects within Supply Chain, Supplier documentations as contract administrator role.
- Tracking samples in conjunction with the Nutrition team/R&D team, as well and reporting out status to Supply Chain.
