We are looking for a highly analytical Inventory Planning Associate to help drive visibility and decision making across inventory, supply, and operations. This role will partner closely with Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance to monitor inventory health, improve forecast accuracy, and support operational planning across channels including Retail, DTC, and Amazon.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with data and modern analytical tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to improve reporting, automate analysis, and surface actionable insights. This is a great role for someone early in their supply chain career who enjoys working with data, building tools, and solving operational problems.

Responsibilities

Supply & Inventory Analytics

  • Leverage AI tools to automate analysis of inventory health, supply risks, and planning scenarios
  • Maintain planning models and supply dashboards used for operational decision making
  • Monitor performance for new product launches to ensure adjustments for shipment actuals

Forecast Review & Performance Tracking

  • Conduct forecast analysis and report possible impact to inventory and supply plans
  • Use AI-assisted analysis to identify patterns in forecast performance and generate corrective plans relative to Supply
  • Build recurring reporting to support monthly planning and leadership reviews

Inventory Deployment & Shelf Life Management

  • Monitor inventory aging and shelf life across distribution centers
  • Recommend and coordinate inventory transfers to optimize freshness and reduce waste
  • Identify areas of excess inventory or risk and partner with sales and growth teams on identifying opportunities

Amazon Inventory & Replenishment Support

  • Utilize AI tools to develop comprehensive demand and kitting plan
  • Track Amazon inventory levels and inbound shipments to maintain in stock performance

Operational Reporting

  • Build clear reporting and presentations for internal planning and S&OP meetings
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in supply chain, operations, analytics, or planning internships/roles
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and strong comfort working with data and AI tools
  • Strong attention to detail and structured problem solving
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly across teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience in CPG, retail, or consumer products
  • Exposure to inventory planning, demand planning, or S&OP processes
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Looker or Tableau

Magic Spoon intends to offer competitive base pay within the stated range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. To further compensate and recognize our employees for their work, our total compensation package includes equity and a robust benefits package. The anticipated annual base salary range for this role is $70,000-$85,000.
