We’re looking for a CPG brand and innovation marketer to bring the future of Magic Spoon products to life. Reports into Head of Brand Management & Innovation, on the same team as a Associate Brand Manager and Brand Analyst.
This is a full time, in-person/hybrid role (Tues, Weds, Thursday in office) based in Tribeca, NYC.
Responsibilities
- Co-lead annual brand planning with leadership, including portfolio role definition, marketing focus, and “must-win” priorities that orient the company forward
- Define Jobs-to-Be-Done (JTBD) and consumer “must wins” that drive strategic alignment across teams
- Partner with Creative team on brand positioning and articulation across touchpoints
- Establish clear product priorities by category and influence budget allocation in partnership with leadership and Growth team
- Define portfolio strategy and positioning across existing products and new innovation
- Own category and competitive analysis at the Total US level for Scan
- Dig into Panel data to provide insights into brand health and positioning in respective categories
- Lead quarterly business reviews, reporting on high level scan and panel data and trends, pulling insights from these to recommended actions
- Synthesize competitive updates and align them with brand JTBDs and portfolio strategy
- Lead ad hod insights work to garner additional info on brand health and consumer sentiment
- Partner with Product and Operations on cost saving initiatives
- Work with sales and shopper marketing on ongoing projects and translating strategies to execution and selling stories to drive growth
- 4–6 years of CPG brand management, with experience spanning brand and portfolio/product strategy
- Strong strategic thinker who can synthesize consumer insights, competitive context, and business needs into clear priorities
- Adept at annual/portfolio planning and shaping “must wins” that orient teams toward long-term goals
- Mastery of syndicated consumption data systems and analysis of panel data.
- Experience leading consumer research, panel analysis, and category reviews to inform decision-making
- Ideally some experience with campaign development in partnership with creative teams
- Strong grasp of stage-gate innovation processes, with ability to build business cases, assess tradeoffs, and shepherd launches from idea to shelf
- Confident communicator who can influence cross-functionally and present to leadership with clarity and conviction
- Ability to flex between strategic brand storytelling and practical commercial detail (P&Ls, cost structures, panel data)
- Collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

The anticipated annual base salary range for this role is $120,000-$145,000.
