THE ROLE

Our growth is fast - and accelerating. More and more people choose to switch to a plant-based diet for the sake of their health and the planet. That’s why we are looking for a Maintenance & Engineering Manager.

The mission of the Maintenance & Engineering Manager is to lead and develop the Maintenance & Engineering department consisting of 4 technicians. The Maintenance & Engineering Manager drives improvements in all technical areas, securing a higher quality level and an efficient running factory with low environmental impact. This also includes driving continuous improvement structures and Early Equipment Methodology within the site and ensuring strong collaboration with partners, including our co-packer AMC.

This role plans and coordinates engineering projects, manages diverse teams from different disciplines and ensures a smooth-running maintenance plan with a focus on zero breakdowns.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Maintenance management

• Driving the improvement of availability and reliability of the installation and equipment.
• Development of maintenance concept and ensure implementation.
• Development of the maintenance master plan and be responsible for improvements of the plan.
• Execution preventive and corrective maintenance, including necessary inspections and troubleshooting.
• Ensure optimal spare part stock to keep high machine availability/reduce costs.
• Managing relationships with maintenance/technical contractors and service providers.
• Having close cooperation with utility providers (i.e. AMC).
• Synchronize and plan for any external parties working with maintenance and/or improvements.

Monitor and execute projects

• Project management.
• Early Equipment Methodology.
• Stakeholder management and presenting to the steering group (management team).
• Integrating with Global PMO, sharing knowledge.

Financial

• Preparing investment proposals and supporting the requestor.
• CAPEX follow-up in collaboration with Controlling.
• Budget responsibility for Maintenance & Engineering department.

WHO ARE YOU?

• HBO lever or higher, technical orientation (High voltage certification is preferable).
• Proven experience in working with preventive maintenance & engineering, and project management (preferable experience in training of co-workers, with process and food industry).
• Competence requirements:
  • IT competence: MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), SharePoint, ERP
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Social competence and ability to establish sound relationships with others
  • Systematic, analytical, accurate and structured with Oatly values
  • Improvement driven and focused in delivering on goals
  • Agile and adaptable
  • Preferable WCM/production system/ Six sigma, SHE, BRC/HACCP, Environment, Sustainability
•  Language
  • Dutch, very good level both in verbal and written
  • English, very good level both in verbal and written
  • Spanish is an advantage
